Pumpkin Tiana F1

Butternut pumpkins are popular, fine-sweet tasting pumpkins. Their fruits have a very thin skin and a low core portion. The firm pulp is fine and tastes aromatic. Tiana produces pear-shaped fruits that are 30-40 cm long and 10-15 cm in diameter. The skin of young fruits is greenish white. It turns beige when the fruit is ripe. The dark orange-red, firm meat contains a lot of carotene. Fruits harvested when fully ripe can be stored in a cool storage room until spring. The large, yellow flowers are considered a delicacy. The plants thrive outdoors, cold frames, greenhouses. They tend not to grow and the leaves are naturally resistant to powdery mildew.
