Organic dill leafy (seed tape)

Info:
Annual. Leafy dill forms dark to blue-green leaves with a very good leaf mass. The growth of the dill plants is upright and stable. Dill plants are fully used except for the roots. Fresh leaves are suitable for seasoning. The stems, flowers and seeds are used for pickling cucumbers and other vegetables. Growth height up to 80 cm.

Care:
sowing on the spot. Make an approx. 1 cm deep seed furrow and water it vigorously, then lay out the seed tape, cover it with soil and press it down and water it vigorously again. Separation is not necessary, as optimal plant spacing has been considered in the seed band. Row spacing approx. 30 cm. The seed band disintegrates in the soil to form humus.

Use:
Fresh dill tips for seasoning salads, fish dishes, quark and egg dishes. The flower, seeds and stems are used to pickle cucumbers. Suitable for freezing with little loss of flavor.

Gardener’s tip:
sowing in the middle of summer, due to the risk of drying out, preferably sow in a partially shaded place and keep it constantly moist. Follow-up crops ensure a continuous harvest. Dill is on the menu of the pretty caterpillar of the rare swallowtail, which occasionally visits the dill. For this stroke of luck, it is advisable to leave the harvest to the caterpillars so that you can enjoy the butterflies!
