Planting
The tubers can be planted directly or expelled in pots. Displacement results in earlier flowering, and in the most hardy areas, displacement is recommended.
When planting directly outside, it is important that it is frost-free and the soil should keep a minimum of 4-5 degrees. Dig a small hole, and set the tuber so that it is covered with about 5 cm of soil. Water well.

Displacement
When displacing, the tubers are set 2-4 weeks before you expect planting. Put the tubers in pots and cover with about 5 cm of soil. Water well to begin with. When the tubers start to shoot, you can be a little more careful with watering – the tubers should definitely not be left in water. The plants should not be planted out until the night temperatures are well above freezing.

Overwintering
Dahlia can last season after season, but does not tolerate frost. The tubers must therefore be dug up and taken in just before the frost comes. Keep the tubers dark and cool. Provide ventilation so that the tubers do not rot.

Dahlia can be planted in pots and pots. We recommend slightly larger jars, which make it easier to keep moisture even. Note that the pots must then be taken in in the winter, if you want the tubers to survive. Ensure good drainage.
