New! Large, decadent, ruffled blooms for early spring to summer harvest.

These creamy yellow blooms remind us of big scoops of French vanilla ice cream. 2 1/2–4″, fully double blooms are lush with abundant layering and ruffling. Group 2, for early spring to summer harvest. Lisianthus is also known as prairie gentian, Texas bluebell, and showy prairie gentian. Seed has been coated with conventional pellet for ease of sowing. Certified-organic growers please check suitability with your certifier. Pelleted seeds. Ht. 24–36″. Packet: 15 seeds.

DAYS TO GERMINATION:10-15 days at 68-72°F (20-22°C)

SOWING:Transplant (recommended) – Sow into 288-cell or preferred, deep-cell seedling container, 12-13 weeks before planting out. Greenhouse production is highly recommended. Light is needed for germination, but a thin layer of fine vermiculite covering the seed will help to control algae growth.
