When planting outdoors, choose a location with humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil and water thoroughly until the plants are established.

To manage warmer temperatures, ensure regular watering and consider using mulch to keep the soil cool. Remove spent flowers to encourage further blooming throughout the cooler seasons, and enjoy their tendency to self-seed, potentially providing you with more of these lovely ruby blooms in the future.
