Successful Seed Starting and Plant Care

Propagating your Tea Plant from seed is a rewarding experience. To enhance germination, soak the seeds in warm water for about 12 hours before planting them 1 cm deep in the provided moist coconut fiber substrate.

Cover the container with clear film, ensuring some ventilation, and place it in a bright, warm (20-25°C) location. Once seedlings emerge, provide bright light. For established plants, use rhododendron soil mixed with a bit of sand, water with lime-deficient water, and fertilize every two weeks during the growing season (April-September) with a tub plant fertilizer.
