Snapdragon Johnny’s Early Sunrise Mix F1

Bring a vibrant burst of warm sunrise shades to your field or greenhouse with Snapdragon Johnny’s Early Sunrise Mix F1 seeds. Blooming about a week earlier than standard Potomac Mix and Potomac Berry Blend, this carefully selected color blend of oranges and pinks creates a pleasing mix perfect for easy market bunches or adding cheerful color to the home garden.

Classified as a Group 3–4 variety, it’s considered a “main season” or “all season” bloomer. Plus, the flowers are edible, offering a colorful, slightly bitter garnish for salads, desserts, and drinks (use sparingly).

  • Group 3–4 (Main/All Season): Offers a reliable bloom period.
  • Edible Flowers: Colorful garnish with a floral, slightly bitter flavor.

Growing Tips for Your Snapdragon Johnny’s Early Sunrise Mix F1 Seeds:

Transplant (recommended): Surface-sow into 128-cell flats or preferred seedling container 8-10 weeks before planting out. Light is required for germination; cover just enough to hold seeds in place (a fine layer of vermiculite can help maintain moisture and prevent algae).

Bottom water or mist lightly. Transplant to cell packs or larger containers when the first true leaves appear (3-4 weeks after sowing). Pinch young plants back by half their height when they have 4-6 leaves or are 3-4 inches tall for bushier plants with more side branches (pinching will delay bloom).

Space plants 4-12 inches apart. Direct seeding is not recommended.

Light Preference: Sun to part shade.

Soil Requirements: Rich, well-drained, moist soil with a neutral pH.

Harvest: Cut when florets on the lower 1/3 to 1/2 of the spike are open.
