Transform Your Garden with Silene Schafta Moss Campion Seeds
Create a captivating display of bright pink blooms with Silene Schafta Moss Campion seeds. This charming perennial plant forms a lush, loose turf up to 20 cm in height, making it an ideal choice for groundcover, rockeries, and borders. Its recumbent and erect, highly branched stems are adorned with small, light green, ovate leaves on short petioles, forming graceful bushes that quickly create attractive curtains.
Agrotechnics & Growing Success:
Sowing: Seeds require preliminary stratification for optimal germination. Sow the seeds on the surface of slightly compacted and moistened soil, cover them with glass or clear plastic, and place them in the refrigerator at a temperature of +5 to +7 °C. Keep the crops in these conditions for 21 days, then transfer them to room conditions. At a temperature of +20 to +22 °C, seedlings typically appear within 14-20 days. Once seedlings reach the stage of 1-2 true leaves, they are ready to be pricked out (divided) into individual pots.
Soil & Care: This plant requires slightly acidic, well-drained soil. It prefers light, well-drained conditions. Minimal watering is needed once established. For continuous and abundant flowering throughout the season, 2-3 feedings with a balanced fertilizer are recommended.
Versatile Uses & Perfect Partners:
- Use: Ideal for adding vibrant color to flower beds, perennial borders, rocky areas, alpine gardens, and as an attractive groundcover.
- Partners: Silene Schafta creates beautiful combinations with other low-growing plants like blue gentians, various bellflowers, and violets, enhancing the visual appeal of your garden spaces.
