Oregano Dost Aromata

Oregano is also known as Dost or “wild marjoram”. The hardy plants grow to a height of 30 to 60 cm and have leaves that are up to 2 cm wide. Fresh or dried leaves and flowers are used in the kitchen. The spicy taste of oregano goes well with all Mediterranean vegetable and meat dishes, as well as with pizza and pasta sauces. Goes well in hearty stews and when prepared as a tea, it is said to have an antispasmodic effect.
