Introducing Double Frappe Light Pink 2 (F1) Snapdragon seeds, a very exciting advancement in snapdragon breeding. This variety pairs the popular and beautiful double-flower form with a delicate light pink color, offering earliness and exceptional uniformity in flowering time and bloom quality. This softer pink shade distinguishes it from other double-flowering pink snapdragons.

Edible Flowers and Versatile Use

Adding a unique dimension, the flowers of Double Frappe Light Pink 2 (F1) Snapdragon are edible. Their floral and slightly bitter flavor makes them a colorful garnish for salads, desserts, and drinks. Use them sparingly to add a touch of elegance and visual appeal to your culinary creations. Primarily valued as a cut flower, its excellent vase life of 7-10 days and good storage temperature of  0-4°C make it a valuable addition to any cut flower production.

Optimal Growing Instructions for Best Results

Sowing Instructions: Transplanting is highly recommended. Surface-sow the Double Frappe Light Pink 2 (F1) Snapdragon seeds into your preferred seedling container 8-10 weeks before your intended planting-out date. Light is crucial for germination, so cover the seeds just enough to hold them in place. Pinching young plants is recommended if you desire a bushier plant with more branching and increased flower production. A fine layer of vermiculite over the seeds can help maintain necessary moisture levels and prevent algae growth without blocking light. Bottom water or mist lightly to avoid displacing seeds and soil. Transplant seedlings to cell packs or larger containers when the first true leaves appear, typically 3-4 weeks after sowing. If pinching is desired, do so when plants have formed 4-6 leaves or are approximately 3-4 inches tall, cutting them back by half their height. Pinching will delay the crop time by a few weeks. If pinching, space plants 6-12 inches apart. Direct seeding is not recommended for this variety.
