Lettuce Fossey MTO Organic
Introducing Lettuce Fossey MTO Organic, a beautifully frilled lettuce variety with a bright cherry red exterior that will add exceptional color and texture to your garden and salads. This adaptable organic lettuce can be successfully grown throughout the entire season, offering good volume for consistent harvests.
Reduced Bottom Rot and Strong Disease Resistance
Fossey MTO Organic is thoughtfully structured with an upright base and thin lower leaves, which helps to reduce its susceptibility to Bottom Rot, a common issue in lettuce cultivation. Furthermore, this robust variety offers high resistance to specific races of Downy Mildew (1 – 8, 16 – 26, 28 & 32) and Lettuce Leaf Aphid, ensuring a healthier and more productive organic crop.
Easy Culture for Season-Long Harvests
For optimal growth of your organic Fossey lettuce seeds, maintain a soil temperature between 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit. Sow seeds at a shallow depth of 0.25 – 0.5 inches, noting that light is required for germination, which typically occurs in 6 – 10 days.
You can look forward to a relatively quick maturation period of just 50 days, bringing these vibrant and resilient frilled lettuce heads to your table throughout the growing season.
