Lettuce Buckley MTO Organic
Introducing Lettuce Buckley MTO Organic, a visually striking and versatile addition to your organic garden. This variety features dark maroon, sweet lobed leaves that grow in an attractive upright rosette.
As a “one-cut” type lettuce, Buckley can be efficiently harvested as whole heads for a beautiful presentation or used in salad mixes to add a rich and appealing color contrast.
Excellent Color and Strong Disease Resistance
The deep maroon hue of Buckley lettuce makes it a standout in any salad. Beyond its beauty, this organic variety offers high resistance to significant lettuce diseases and pests, including Lettuce Dieback Complex, multiple races of Downy Mildew (1 – 8, 16 – 32), and Lettuce Leaf Aphid, ensuring a more successful and less troublesome growing experience.
Simple Culture for a Colorful Harvest
For optimal growth of your organic Buckley lettuce seeds, maintain a soil temperature between 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit. Sow seeds at a shallow depth of 0.25 – 0.5 inches, noting that light is required for germination, which typically occurs in 6 – 10 days.
You can look forward to a relatively quick maturation period of just 50 days, bringing these uniquely colored and resilient lettuce heads to your table.
