Growing Tips for Your Hollyhock Powder Puffs Mixed Seeds:
Sow Hollyhock Powder Puffs Mixed seeds on the surface of a good, moist seed compost and seal in a polythene bag until germination, which usually takes 12-21 days at 15-21°C (65-70°F). Do not exclude light, as it benefits germination.
They can also be sown in mid-summer in shallow drills for overwintering in a cold frame and planting out in spring for larger plants, spaced about 60cm (24 inches) apart.
Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle and grow on in cooler conditions before gradually acclimatizing to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days.
Plant out at a final spacing of 38cm (15 inches) in a sunny location.
