Growing Your Purslane Green
Purslane is a tender perennial that thrives in full sun (6-12 hours). Surface sow seeds, gently pressing them into the soil, as light aids germination.
Maintain an ideal soil temperature of 70-85°F for sprouting, which typically occurs in 14-21 days. Plant with a spacing of 9-12 inches. Purslane is not frosting hardy, so sow after all danger of frost has passed.
Harvest before the plant begins to bloom to help limit its spread, as it self-sows easily.
