Easy Sowing Instructions with a Pre-Soaking Tip
For optimal germination, soak Gomphrena Haageana Orange seeds for 24-48 hours prior to sowing. For indoor sowing, start 6-8 weeks before the last expected frost in your area. Surface sow the soaked seeds onto moist, well-drained seed compost, covering them lightly with just a sprinkling of soil. Maintain an ideal temperature of 18-21°C. Germination typically takes approximately 2-3 weeks. Transplant seedlings when they are large enough to handle, gradually acclimatize them to outdoor conditions, and plant out after the danger of frost has passed, spacing them around 30cm (12 inches) apart. Direct sowing is also possible once the soil has warmed and the danger of frost has passed. Sow into prepared soil that has been raked to a fine tilth and thin seedlings to a 30cm spacing.
