Gladiolus Priscilla

One of the top ten cultivars in the international cut flower market, the Gladioli ‘Priscilla’ proudly displays stunning tri-colour blooms with white backgrounds, yellow throats and rose-pink ruffled edges.

These unique and special Gladioli are extremely desirable and valued as cut flowers however they are also excellent when planted towards the back of a summer border for an uplifting and vibrant display. These eye-catching blooms are arranged along strong spikes with pointed sword-like leaves and each stem can grow up to 150 cm tall.

Gladiolus can be planted about 2 weeks before the last expected spring frost. For a continual display of flowers, plant a few corms every 2 weeks until early summer with an expected time to bloom of 70-90 days. For best results, plant in clusters of five or more in a position of full sun with each bulb 10 cm deep and 10 cm apart. If possible plant multiple groupings, ensuring a separate supply for cut flowers with the rest for garden display.

After the buds have formed, stake the stems at least 5 cm from the base, preventing damage to the bulbs. Gladioli need water during the growing period and mulching with peat or compost to conserve moisture.
