Gladiolus Giant Flowering Sweet Dreams

Gladiolus Giant Flowering ‘Sweet Dreams’ is a breathtaking pairing of blue and white, tall Gladioli that are sure to draw attention with their stunning contrasting blooms.

Named after the Roman ‘Gladius‘ sword, these striking perennials feature multiple vibrant blooms along each stem, resting above long sword shaped leaves to create the perfect display for a summer border or as cut flowers. Such is the utility of these bulbs that we recommend planting multiple groups of Gladioli; some for garden display, others for cutting throughout the summer.

Plant these bulbs in clusters of five or more in a position of full sun. Gladioli need water during the growing period and mulching with peat or compost to conserve moisture. After the buds are formed, stake the stems around 5 cm from the base, preventing damage to the bulbs. Plant the bulbs 10 cm deep and 10 cm apart. In order to create a long-lasting succession of bloom, we recommend planting in two week intervals throughout March and into June.
