High-Quality Dianthus Sweet White for Cool Season Cut Flower Production
Discover the beauty of Dianthus Sweet White Pelleted F1, a high-quality conventional pelleted seed variety ideal for cool season cut flower production. This robust plant produces impressive 2 to 5-inch rounded clusters of pure white, single-petaled blooms. Bred for both greenhouse and high-tunnel environments, it also performs exceptionally well in open fields.
This F1 hybrid offers first-year flowering and does not require vernalization to initiate its fragrant and long-lasting blooms, typically blooming about 4 weeks earlier than the ‘Amazon’ variety in trials. These high-yielding plants produce strong, long stems, making them a top choice for florists and home gardeners alike.

Sowing (Transplant Recommended): Sow 6-8 weeks before the last expected frost. Lightly press seeds into the growing medium. Transplant seedlings into cell packs or 3-4 inch containers 20-25 days after sowing. Harden off and transplant outdoors 6-8 weeks after sowing. Maintain cool temperatures of 50-55°F (10-13°C) for optimal growth. Avoid warm temperatures above 65°F (18°C), especially at night, to prevent soft growth.
Direct Seed: Sow early spring when a light frost is still possible.
Light Preference: Sun
Plant Height: Varies, typically 18-36 inches.
Plant Spacing: 6 inches.
Hardiness Zones: Tender perennial in Zones 6-8, best results when planted as an annual.
Harvest: Harvest when 10-20% of flowers in the cluster or spray are open.
