This excellent series produces tall, impressive spires densely packed with 1 1/2–1 3/4 inch double florets in a beautiful formula mix of carmine, dark blue, light blue, light pink, lilac, rose, and white (with a small percentage of singles).

Very similar to the beloved Sublime series it replaced, QIS Larkspur blooms in its first year and continues in subsequent years with proper care. Its long stems are perfect for fresh bouquets, and the flowers also dry beautifully. Attract hummingbirds to your garden with these stunning spires!

Growing Tips for Your Delphinium (Larkspur) QIS Mix Seeds:

Direct Seed (recommended): Sow ¼ inch deep (darkness is required for germination) in early spring for summer bloom or in fall for bloom the following year. Seeds do not germinate well when soil temperatures are above 55°F (13°C). Pre-chill seed for 7 days at 35°F (2°C) to improve germination rates.

Transplant: Sow into 72-cell plug flats or preferred seedling container 5-7 weeks before planting out. Grow transplants at a cool 55°F (13°C) until ready to plant outside. Larkspur thrives in cool summer climates.

Choose a sunny location with rich, well-drained, slightly alkaline soil. Space plants 4-6 inches apart and provide support as they can reach 36-48 inches tall. Harvest for fresh bouquets when 2-3 basal flowers are open on up to 1/3 of the stem.

For dried flowers, harvest when all flowers on the stem are open but before petals drop.
