Easy to Grow in Full Sun

Datura metel prefers a fertile, moisture-retentive, and well-drained soil that is ideally calcareous, in a location that receives full sun. Providing shelter from strong winds will help to protect the delicate blooms and foliage.

Self-Seeding Caution and Safe Disposal

Please be aware that Datura metel will self-seed freely. If you do not want volunteer seedlings in the following season, it is crucial to dig, pull, or hoe out plants before they set seed and compost them carefully. Plants that have already set seed should be treated with extra caution and should be placed in green waste collection or burned to prevent accidental spread. Always wear gloves and thoroughly wash your hands immediately after handling this plant at any stage of growth or disposal.
