Enjoy a Sweet Blend of Colors with Cosmos Cotton Candy Mix Seeds

The Cosmos Cotton Candy Mix is a specially formulated blend of cosmos varieties that creates a balanced and delightful mix of unique flower colors. Expect an abundance of colorful blooms, ranging from soft yellows to beautiful pink and lavender shades, from midsummer well into fall, and potentially until the first frost in cooler climates. These plants typically grow to a height of 20 to 32 inches and feature a charming color blend that will add a whimsical touch to your garden. The daisy-esque blooms are borne singly on long, graceful stems, making them excellent for cutting and creating sweet summer bouquets and mixed floral displays.

Attracts Pollinators and is Perfect for Cutting

Left to flourish in the garden, the nectar-rich blooms of the Cosmos Cotton Candy Mix are irresistible to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, adding life and movement to your outdoor space. As Cosmos bipinnatus varieties, these plants have an upright, clumping habit that is perfect for filling garden beds and borders. Cosmos also self-seeds readily, making this blend a great option for planting in naturalized areas. It’s a must-have for butterfly gardens and dedicated cutting gardens alike. Furthermore, Cosmos Cotton Candy Mix can be beneficial companion plants in an organic vegetable garden, offering natural pest control.

Easy to Grow with Abundant Blooms

The Cosmos Cotton Candy Mix is known for its ease of growth, flowering heavily with little to no maintenance required. It thrives best in a sunny spot with dry, well-draining soil. While cosmos tolerates a wide range of soil types, overly rich soils may encourage excessive foliage growth at the expense of abundant blooms. For direct sowing, plant the cosmos seeds into warm soil, barely covering them with soil. Thin seedlings when the first true leaves appear. Cosmos seeds can also be started indoors 6 to 8 weeks before your typical last frost date in spring and transplanted outdoors once the soil has warmed. To avoid leggy transplants, move seedlings outdoors within a couple of weeks of germination.
