Xtreme Tea Brew Instructions

Prep:

1. Ensure your compost tea brewer is clean.
2. Fill the brewer with fresh, filtered water. Using a Hydrologic Reverse Osmosis system is recommended to remove chlorine and chloramines.
3. Maintain water temperatures between 60 – 70°F throughout the brewing process.

Application:

• Standard Brew:
  • For 3 – 5 gallons of water: 1 (80 g) Brew pouch + contents of 1 Activator food pak.
  • For 15 gallons of water: 3 (80 g) Brew pouches + contents of 3 Activator food paks.
  • Keep the solution well oxygenated with air stones and brew for 48 hours with a submersible pump.
• Quick Brew:
  • In a bucket with 3-5 gallons of water, add 1 (80 g) Brew pouch.
  • Squeeze and massage the Brew pouch for 60 – 90 seconds to help seep material into the water.
  • Add contents of 1 food pak and stir well. Apply immediately.

Application Rates:

• Xtreme Tea Brews may be diluted (max dilution 1:10).

Hydroponic Systems:

Use Compost Tea Brews 24 hours before changing the reservoir. Avoid running tea in a hydroponic system for prolonged periods. Add brewed tea at the rate of 1 – 2 gallons of tea concentrate for every 10 gallons of nutrient solution throughout the growing season.

Cleaning the Tea Brewer:

Remove all residue from brewing and disinfect the brewer using antibacterial soap, bleach (2%), or hydrogen peroxide. Rinse thoroughly after disinfecting.
