Although strictly a perennial, these beautiful and exquisite plants are usually grown as half-hardy annuals. The small, star-shaped, faintly sweet-scented flowers are produced in dense, cloudy umbels, not only perfect for cutting but also making great pot plants.

Germination Instructions

Sow indoors. Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed compost. Cover with a fine layer of vermiculite. Ideal temp. 20°C. Germination takes 2-3 weeks. Transplant seedlings once large enough to handle to 8cm pots and grow on. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed with 50cm spacing.

Growing Instructions

Prefers moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Water freely in dry weather. Perennial, but treat as an annual.

Cultivation Instructions

Cut and come again variety. Cut back after flowering to promote fresh blooms.
