High-yielding variety for outdoor cultivation and wintering, productive, with fine-grained, green leaves. Becomes 80 – 90 cm high. Suitable for freezing.
Sow from May – July outdoors 0.5 – 1 cm deep. Press seeds and cover with soil. Row spacing 50 x 50 cm, transplant about 6 weeks after sowing. Loves sunny to partially shaded locations and nutrient-rich, moist soils.
Is planted as a subculture for peas and beans. Kale tastes best when it has gotten frost, the cold converts the starch into sugar.
