Perennial. Has slow youth development. The herb is harvested for flowering and dried. Prefers locations with moderately humid to dry climates, good lime supply. The herb has a penetrating aroma and a strong taste. For roast, poultry, mushroom and tomato dishes, suitable for meatloaf as a sausage seasoning. As a bath additive, as gargle water, for infections in the area of the stomach, intestines, kidneys and bladder as well as for diseases of the respiratory tract.
