Turnip Plessis, F1

The Profi-Line turnip ‘Plessis’ is prepared in a variety of ways, usually braised, boiled or steamed. The aromatic, hearty F1 hybrid develops flattened navet beets within a few weeks. This short cultivation period of only about two and a half months makes the autumn vegetables the perfect bedding successor for summer plants and salads.

Depending on whether they are grown in spring or autumn, red and white turnips can be harvested from April to December. The ‘Plessis’ is also not affected by cold temperatures, so that it is a significant supplier of nutrients even in winter. The low-calorie turnip is not only uncomplicated in the bed, but also grows excellently in tubs and raised beds.
