Helmbohne Violet is a type of dolichos lablab that produces pink-violet flowers and purple pods.
mid-September at 18°C to 20°C 2 to 3 grains per pot indoors. The germination period is from 10 to 14 days. Do not transplant outdoors at 15°C to 18°C . Make sure that there is sufficient planting distance. The flowers and fruits of the helmet bean resemble the normal garden beans. However, they have pinkish-purple flowers and purple pod fruits. The seeds in the pods have a helmet-like, ring-shaped bulge. This is where the German name Helmbohne comes from.
