Chard Charlie

Chard Charlie is particularly decorative. It has a glossy green leaf color and intense red colored stems and leaf veins. The variety has been bred specifically for babyleaf harvesting. This means that the seedlings are harvested young, when they are still particularly tender. The cultivation time is short, so that it can also be sown as a quick intermediate crop. Charlie also grows well in balcony boxes. The aroma and the fresh colors are an enrichment for every salad. But this chard is also very tasty as a steamed vegetable.
