Organic carrot & radish (seed tape)

Info:
Two tasty, spring vegetables combined in one seed band! This saves time and effort, because you first harvest the red, round, crunchy, mildly spicy radishes and later the high-yielding, sweet carrots. Radishes are quick germiners as well as quick developers, which can be harvested after 4 weeks. Carrots are slow germinators and the fresh carrots are only harvested after 2.5 months.

Care:
sowing on the spot. Make an approx. 1 cm deep seed furrow and water it vigorously, then lay out the seed tape, cover it with soil and press it down and water it vigorously again. Separation is not necessary, as optimal plant spacing has been considered in the seed band. Row spacing approx. 30 cm. The seed band disintegrates into humus in the soil.

Use:
Early carrots can be used in many ways, a real treat as a salad, juice or buttered vegetables. Radishes are a crunchy, spicy component in fresh salads as a topping on bread.

Gardener’s tip:
carrots and radishes are packaged separately, as mixing them is not permitted by law. Make sure that the water supply is sufficient and even, this is crucial for the sharpness of the radish. Carrots need deep, loose soil. To prevent deformations during growth, stones should be removed from the ground.
