Carrot Hilmar (seed band)

Sowing
Earliest laying out of the tape in approx. 1–1.5 cm deep grooves in the prepared seed bed.

Germination
Carrots germinate somewhat unevenly after approx. 1–2 weeks, depending on the temperature. Pour the tape when laying it out before covering it with soil to ensure a good soil seal.

Culture
row spacing 25cm, the seed tape is the optimum distance before in the series already. Always keep well moist.

Location
sunny. Deeply loosened, humus soil, as sandy as possible. Use magnesium-containing fertilizers, no manure and lime. Avoid over-fertilization.

Harvest
Harvest approx. 14-18 weeks after sowing. Use only undamaged carrots for storage. Also very suitable for freezing.

Use
Very versatile, as a vegetable, salad, juice and raw consumption. Carrots have a preventive effect against infectious diseases. High in vitamins and carotene.

Tip
Seed bands prevent too close sowing and already provide the optimal spacing between the crops. Easy to use!
